Loveland is a Creative Community & this is our Office. Welcome!

Loveland’s Office of Creative Sector Development (OCSD)

The OCSD will create a vital art-related economy in Loveland, Colorado by facilitating the growth, development and retention of the Creative Sector including: artists, businesses and organizations. It will do so by providing a central location for staff and volunteers to develop and implement artists and arts related business retention and attraction strategies while providing training related to the business of art, networking opportunities, promotion of arts events and sales of art which will attract new wealth, artists and arts related businesses and organizations to Loveland.

The City of Loveland’s Master Plan from 2005 addressed the need to develop arts incubators and support for innovative businesses.Following this direction, City Council urged the Economic Development Department to explore how this might be accomplished. A fifteen month stakeholder process designed the structure and goals for the OCSD and the proposal was passed by council in November of 2010 with the office opening in an official capacity March 2012.

Four Main Areas of Focus

With goals of retaining and increasing creative jobs, adding to event attendance, and increasing the sales tax base. In doing so, the OCSD will be providing creatives with more opportunities to show and sell their work, grow their businesses, and to centralize their efforts to attract new wealth to the community with jobs, increased income, an innovative employee base and additional out of area visitors, to name a few.

Use the site to upload an event, advertise a studio opening, offer class information, join networking programs, view gallery location, share equipment and technology and download maps for local sculpture parks. It’s all here!
